Water Quality Can Change What Happens in the Tank.

Two spray loads can contain the same pesticide and behave differently because the carrier water is different. Hardness, dissolved salts and pH can affect compatibility and performance before the sprayer ever leaves the tender.

That is why products such as BRANDT Indicate 5 and BRANDT Uptake Plus can be valuable tools. Indicate 5 combines pH adjustment, water conditioning and spreading with a built-in color indicator, while Uptake Plus combines ammonium sulfate, nonionic surfactant and water-conditioning technology in a liquid premix.

What is the difference between a surfactant and a water conditioner?

A surfactant primarily changes how the spray droplet wets, spreads or penetrates the target. A water conditioner primarily changes the carrier water. Some multifunction products do both.
