Seed & Genetics

Build a Seed Lineup for the Whole Farm.

The right seed decision is more than picking a high-yielding number. We look at genetics, field fit, maturity, disease pressure, management and how the entire lineup works together across your acres.

Placement Before Product

Different Acres Need Different Genetic Responses.

That is why we would rather build a portfolio than chase one hybrid or one variety across the entire farm. Product choice still matters, but so does where it goes, how it is managed and what other genetics are beside it.

AgriGold Corn

Field GX Turns Genetic Diversity Into a Management Tool.

AgriGold organizes its corn portfolio into six Field GX families: A, B, F, G, H and J. The families are not simply labels. They describe groups of genetics that respond differently to environment and management.

That gives us a practical way to talk about more than yield. We can look at where a family tends to fit, how it uses nitrogen, how it handles wet or stressful ground, how it finishes and how much population or management pressure it wants.

The goal is not to pick the “best” family. The goal is to use the strengths of several families so the farm is not depending on one genetic response.
Field GX is a family-level placement framework. Individual hybrid characteristics and field-specific placement still matter.
Six Different Genetic Responses

Know What Each Family Brings to the Farm.

These are family-level tendencies from AgriGold's Field GX positioning. We use them as a starting point, then narrow the decision to the specific hybrid and field.

FIELD GX A

Plant for the Response

High-end genetics that reward productive soils and attentive management.

  • Strong plant health and higher-fertility fit
  • Prefers early nitrogen and has a high potassium requirement
  • Handles moderate to higher populations
FIELD GX B

Plant for Resilience

Flexible genetics built to keep working when the acre is not perfect.

  • Strong early vigor and broad adaptability
  • Fits moderate to lower populations
  • Flexible nitrogen use with a preference for well-drained soils
FIELD GX F

Plant for Consistency

A dependable family that brings repeatability and broad placement value to a diversified lineup.

  • Highly adaptable across soils and environments
  • Strong roots and good fit for wetter soils
  • Finishes best when late nitrogen and water are available
FIELD GX G

Plant for the Extremes

A forgiving workhorse family for acres where drought, heat or other stress may test the crop.

  • Strong drought and stress tolerance
  • Prefers moderate to well-drained soils
  • Needs late-season nitrogen and water to protect grain fill
FIELD GX H

Plant for Versatility

A useful utility player when a field can throw several different environments at the crop.

  • Broadly adapted with strong wet-foot tolerance
  • Works well at moderate populations
  • Responds to split nitrogen and foliar fungicide management
FIELD GX J

Plant for a Strong Finish

Built around uniformity, standability, stay-green and harvest confidence late in the season.

  • Strong stalks and greensnap tolerance
  • Excellent stay-green and fall intactness
  • Fits moderate populations and a longer harvest window

We also carry planter-box products, seed lubricants and biological options. The goal is simple: keep planting smooth and make sure anything added to the seed has a clear reason for being there.

Cover Crop Seed

Cover Crop Seed for the Rotation.

We continue to source cover crop seed for growers using covers to protect soil, manage residue, add diversity or build a system around their rotation and goals.

Start With the Acres

Bring Us the Fields. We’ll Help Build the Lineup.

Tell us what you farm, where the trouble spots are, what management you are willing to put behind the crop and what you want to improve. From there we can work through genetics, placement, treatment and risk across the whole farm.
